Today I'll post something different from the other days, a statue, the statue of Georgio Karaiskaki. The statue of Georgios Karaiskakis on a horse is located at the garden of Zappeion Mansion. The bronze sculpture was constructed in 1966 by the sculptor Michael Trombos.
Georgios Karaiskakis (January 23, 1780 or 1782 – April 23, 1827) was a famous Greek klepht, armatolos, military commander, and a hero of the Greek War of Independence.
